FL beat making has come a long way. It was actually the very first program that I used when I started to make beats which was back around 2006. Times have changed much since then, and technology for making beats has constantly advanced. However, is FL Studio a part of that evolution?
The problem with FL Studio is that, over time they've continued to add new features, making things more complex, without altering their user interface which is the most confusing and complicated part of the program.
FL Studio was a great program to make full beats on, but there was always the occasional technical issue that would get in the way. Looking through manuals and online forums for hours could be time consuming and can totally kill the creative process.
Some producers take weeks or even months to learn the ins and outs of FL Beat Making. The learning curve is very steep and can difficult to learn on your own. Now, once you learn the program, you can create good beats, but it's a much more difficult task for newcomers though. And who really wants to wait 6-8 months before they make their first high-quality beat?
So, in a nutshell, I don't believe that FL Studio is on it's way out just yet. But there is another program that's beginning to buzz on the internet with many producers, especially with those that are new to making beats. It's a program called Sonic Producer. It's really just a good beat making program to lay down a track while it's fresh on your mind without any technical issues getting in the way.
When it comes to making beats, whatever program works best for you is fine and I encourage you to stick with that. But for me, I had to try a few different programs before I found the right one to fit. You may want to take some time and try this out to see if it's right for you. You could see your productivity rate go up as I have.
