The Truth About Selling Beats Online

Things To Remember When Selling Beats.
1. Beware of websites where they sell beats for producers. They often offer advertising on their website. Think about it. Mostly producer go there. I highly doubt producers are looking to buy beats from other producers. It's a total waste of money. I know from personal experience.
2. You can say you make beats all day and not get even one sell. Start specifying you sell beats and then you will attract relevant buyers. If you tell people check out your beats they are going to check it out. That's probably all they are going to do! Let them know what your selling beats. Don't spam.
3. People will buy from people they trust. So offer artist good information on their interested. A lot of artist are interested on how to get their music to sound professional. Give out information about how to improve vocals while recording. Build a relationship with clients. Remember you are selling your self. You should be looked at as a consultant and not just a seller.
4. Stop listening to other producers about how to make beats. Listen to artist. They are the ones buying. They know exactly what they want. Your not making beats to impress other producers. Focus on your craft and work until you've mastered your skills.
5. Giving away free beats has its perks and it also has its cons. Giving away a free beat in exchange for an email is a great trade. Now you can keep in contact with a potential buyer until they become a constant buyer. Think of giving away a free beat as a sample. Make sure you put your tag in it. When you don't put your tag in it or you just give it away and don't receive anything then your cheating your self. That's Dumb!
6. Get your own website. Although they have different websites where you can sell beats from, It's better to be in your own lane. For example, if your not in the top 10 on soundclick then your probably not getting that many sells unless your on twitter 24/7 which is a job in it's own. Most likely it's not worth it. Plus the ridiculous rates on the promo deal, Your wasting your money. With you own website you can create everything you need to stand out. Your not blending in with other producers. You have a greater chance because your not directly competing and you can increase your profits because you can get the most from your craft.
I started my own website and it was the best decision I ever made. http://www.Arkansasbeats.com. I hope this information helps you guys in the long run. I wish you all the best of luck in the music industry and hope you leave your mark.
Much Love,
Trap Team.
